This website chronicles the unique friendships and experiences forged amongst competitive outrigger canoe paddlers and those who share an interest in this uniquely Hawaiian sport. It covers paddling news and events, records race results, photos and periodic articles involving Ka Mamlahoe Canoe Club members.
Ka Mamalahoe is a small club, yet it retains the the proud teachings and principles of Hawaiian Culture. Above all, this site is a tribute to the people who have organized Ka Mamalahoe and continue to live and teach the Hawaiian culture to kamaaina (locals) and malihini (newcomers) alike. Their methods and perspective remain firm in a changing world that often promotes a win at all cost philosophy.
As you read further into this site you will see paddling is a sport all can enjoy. Hawaii’s paddling world is a mix of young and old, with people of diverse backgrounds and personality.
