NOVICE B WOMEN
This years Novice B Women were composed of 8 ladies used in different races throughout the year. No matter who was in, they were one of our more consistent and competitive crews, placed 2nd in the Hui Wa'a Standings behind Waikiki Beach Boys Women. NOVICE B MEN
This years B Men have built upon the success of the past two years with another strong season. This time as Hui Wa'a Champions and placing 3rd at the State Championships on Kauai. Although small in numbers this year (seven men total), they proved to be a close knit group made up of 5 childhood friends and family members, plus 2 mainland transplants. Together, they formed a great bond, exemplifying the best in team work and selflessness. MIXED OPEN SIX
This years Mixed Open Crew was very competitive, sitting solidly in the third and final spot among all Hui Wa'a crews in their division to qualify for the State Championships.Congratulations to Justin Fujimoto, Jared, Dara Hubin, Curtis Jaimison, Leah Miller, Amy Hines, Ronelle Simmons
SENIOR MASTER WOMEN
Our awesome Senior Master Women qualified for the State Championships after going toe to toe in some very close races with eventual Hui Wa'a Champion, North Shore. SENIOR MASTER MEN CREW
This years Senior Master Men Crew was composed mostly of Golden Crewmen who dropped down to Senior Master to help out the club. They just missed out on qualifying for states, but were always near the front of the pack, paddling hard. Congrads on a great season, Norbert Kitashima, Cliff, Mike Tosaki, Al, Ted Kunishige, Scott Thompson.
MIXED MASTER 40 CREW
This years Mixed Master Crew had some great races, placing among the top crews in most races. Like many other clubs that have crews with huge family and work commitments, our mixed masters were no different as they tried to patch crews together week after week. The gang hung tough earning a trip to states and placed a respectable 7th place finish. Congratulations, Joan Couillard, Keala, Pam Glatt, Keoni Farias, Terence "Q" Quong, Mike Tosaki, Lisa Bento.
MASTER WOMEN CREW
Our Master Women gave it their all in a very competitive division of seasoned crews from top to bottom. Mahalo, Joan Couillard, Keala Kaupu, Jodi, Maria, Debbie and Pam Glatt
FRESHMEN WOMEN
Our Freshmen Women are another group of dedicated paddlers in a very competitive division of elite athletes. They stuck together providing our club with much needed points during the weekly regattas. Mahalo Shawnee, Ronnie Simmons, Michelle Carvalho, Merly Vergonio-Williams, Allegra Thompson, Kai Fernandez and Lorelei Saito.

SENIOR MEN
As a whole, the Senior Men and other open men paddlers endured perhaps the hardest luck of all in losing veteran paddlers to various work and family commitments. Returning only two veteran paddlers, many of our new guys were thrust into the fire among elite crews of the Senior Men Division. Our guys took their lumps, endured and chopped this up as a building block for next year when many of our veterans are expected to return and some tough Novice men move up in class. OPEN FOUR WOMEN

**Hui Wa'a is the only association that doesn't have a Junior Division during the regular season. It holds a Junior race only at Hui Wa'a Championships to qualify for states. This years crew was made of members from Novice A, (4), Novice B (1) and 18 Boys (1). The Novice A crew qualified for states, however, it was decided to best race a Junior Crew instead. The Junior Men were as follows: Jake, Mark, Frank, Bo, Jimmy, and Eli.
