-June 29th Na Keiki O' Ka Mo'i Regatta: Summary and photos on our "Regatta" page.
-In-Season Recreational Paddling Available Soon: For those of you who missed out on the current regatta season and would like to get keep up with your paddling skills or bring out some new paddlers, take heart. We are working out the details to get an in-season recreational paddling program going. Most likely will be offered on Saturday's. We'll let you know when this is finalized.
"Meet the Paddlers" Profile: Those of you who want to be included on our "Meet the Paddlers" web page let me know at email, keehidoodoo@yahoo.com . Take a look at the page link and see what some of the other paddlers have put on there to get an idea of what you want. Just don't give me too much personal stuff like SSNs, DOBs, addresses, or sexual orientation. Especially that last one, that's not cool. Also, you can either send me a picture or I can take one of you at the regatta...or you can just have a profile without a photo...up to you.
-Check Out Your Regatta Competition... See how other associations are faring in their regattas. Here's a good website to view other associations racing times... http://www.hcrapaddler.com/members/hcra_results.php?year=2008 Just keep in mind when looking at other associations race times that, at some sites (like Hilo Bay and Waikiki) conditions allow for really fast race times. And other sites, like Haleiwa and Kailua, times tend to be very slow. Sites like Ke'ehi, Hanakao'o (Maui), and Hanalei (Kauai) are usually the truest time indicators. If you can run fast at Ke'ehi with close to or the same time as other crews at places like Hilo Bay, then, eh, you somebody.
-Ka Mamalahoe Stickers... Many of you have inquired about where you can purchase the Ka Mamalahoe Stickers. Well, I had them designed by "Unique Unlimited". You can either go to their store at 324 Campbell Avenue, phone 732-0219, off of Kapahulu Avenue on Wednesday's (3:30-6) & Friday's (2-6), or you can find them at the swap meet at Aloha Stadium on Wed, Sat, Sunday. Unique Unlimited also has a website, www.2unique.com . You can check out these stickers on our Merchandise page at... "Merchandise"
